Agreed, the Dems are far from perfect. However, I keep coming back to one difference. The Dems still have room for diversity and support of social issues which the GOP absolutely does not. Historically they have defined their conservative nature, in part, as not supporting those very programs that the public wants including Republican voters. Every poll shows that people across the political spectrum want national health care and funding of public education and support for Social Security which in fact workers fund throughout their working years. This rings similar to AOC's critique of the Dems in NYS.

What is missing here is any discussion on home many Black and Dem voters were illegally removed from the voting polls or how many of the 10's 1000's thrown off illegally by Bush ever regained their vote.
